Dorothy Mae Herlache

Dorothy Mae Herlache, passed away November 16, 2022 at the age of 94. She was born June, 4, 1928, In Iron Mountain, Mich., to the late John and Gunda (Oien) Williams. Dorothy married Robert Herlache on February 26, 1949 and he preceded her in death February 12, 2016. Dorothy was a volunteer with the St. Vincent Hospital Auxiliary, Brown County Library and Santa Maria Nursing Home through Resurrection Catholic Parish. In her spare time she enjoyed: knitting, word puzzles and reading.

She is survived by three daughters and one son: Cathy (John) Baumgart, Barb (Bruce) Voelker, Pat (Rick) Van Straten, Steve (Kelly) Herlache; grandchildren: Brent (Cindy) Voelker, Chad (Amanda Harmatys) Voelker, Theresa (fiance Bree Ripplinger) Witt; Jesse (Ted LaPine) Baumgart, Abby (Paul) Otteson, Sam (Kaitlee) Van Straten, Ben Van Straten, Dani (John) Davis; great-grandchildren: Emily (Josh), Bethany (Trevor), Alia, Anthony, Lynnie, Ryan, Max, Delilah, Ryker, Ethan and Addie; great-great-grandchild Nellie, as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Robert, and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Jerome (Ethel) Williams, Ruth Williams, John (Doris) Williams, Marion (Hugh) Foster and Bob (Mary Vaughn) Williams.

Family and friends may visit at Resurrection Catholic Parish, 333 Hilltop Dr., Allouez, on Monday, November 21 from 9:30am until 10:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with Fr. Tom Reynebeau officiating. Cotter Funeral and Cremation Care is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brown County Library for audiobooks.
