Dorothy Jane (Michalski) Metzler

Dorothy Metzler, of Allouez, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016. The daughter of the late Michael and Anne Michalski was born January 1, 1929. She married Raymond Metzler in 1951 in New Franken, and was blessed with a wonderful family who she was very proud of. Dorothy worked in administrative support alongside her husband Ray Metzler, and also enjoyed genealogy research and was proud to have developed a family history along with picture albums. Dorothy enjoyed bird watching and reading in her spare time. Dorothy is survived by her children Jeanne (William) Hoest and their children Justin, Eric (fiancé Allie) and Marni; Joseph Metzler; and Steven (Cindy) Metzler along with their children: Marcus (Amanda), Jonathan (Jacly), Melissa, and Steven’s step-children: Kyle, Kaleb, and Kole Cieslewicz. She is also survived by her siblings: Ray Michalski, Virginia Heim, Genevieve Mianecke, Shirley Michalski, Patricia Tarkowski as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ray, as well as numerous siblings and in-laws. Family and friends may visit at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez, on Tuesday, January 3 from 9:00 am until 10:45 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.
