Dorothy E. Krahn

Dorothy E. Krahn, 85, Bellevue, formerly of Denmark, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014. She was born August 31, 1929 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Voeltz) Laabs. Dorothy graduated from De Pere High School, and married Wilbert Krahn on November 27, 1948. He preceded her in death in March of 2000. She farmed with her husband, Wilbert, for many years in the Denmark area. She worked as a typesetter for Brown County Publishing in Denmark for many years. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, quilting, going up north and picking berries, and to the casino. She also volunteered at Aurora hospital for many years. She will be deeply missed by her six children: Dave (Karen) Krahn, Bruce (Diane) Krahn, Debbie (Alan) McCarty, Pamela (Peter) Hansen, Susan (Kevin) Bosetski, and LuAnn (David) Falk; seventeen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one brother, Victor Laabs; one sister, Villa Belongia; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl; a grandson; her brothers and sisters and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Family and friends may call Friday, October 3, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m. at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, with the Rev. Bo Baumeister officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, De Pere. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
