Dorothy C. Jameson, 94, was received into the loving arms of God the Father in Heaven, on January 13, 2018. She was surrounded by her devoted and loving family. Dorothy was born on January 28, 1923, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Stella and Anthony Brzykcy. She graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in Kenosha, WI in 1941. She first worked for MacWhyte Wire Rope Company in Kenosha, WI, as a key punch operator. Later, she worked as a secretary in archives for the Archdiocese of Chicago at St. Mary of the Lake Seminary in Mundelein, Il. Dorothy married Gordon P. Jameson, the love of her life, on August 16, 1947 at St. Mark’s Catholic church in Kenosha, WI. Together they raised two daughters and were blessed to share a loving home for over 54 years. They enjoyed traveling together to places such as Florida, new England, the Smoky Mountains, and Washington, D.C. Dorothy and Gordon then retired to De Pere WI, where she remained active by volunteering for many organizations. As a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Francis Xavier Church in De Pere, WI, she helped with many meals for funerals. Dorothy and her husband delivered Meals on Wheels in Green Bay, Wi. Dorothy especially enjoyed volunteering at De Pere Christian Outreach. Dorothy has a positive and lasting impact on many people’s lives and will be greatly missed. Survived by: Her daughters, Carrie (Dale) Reuter of De Pere and Christine Jameson Milam of Peoria, IL. She is further survived by her grandchildren; Jennifer (Arlyn) Tanck-Adams of Sturtevant, WI, Allison (Loy) Tanck of Peoria, Il and Matthew Doud of Peoria, Il, and great grandchildren; MacKenzie, Mitchell and Cooper. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Raymond, Florian and Leonard Brzykcy and her Husband. A special thank you is extended to the staff of Birch Creek Assisted Living for the thoughtful care of Dorothy, especially Karen, Mel and Angie. Dorothy’s family also extends their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff at the 1st floor medical unit at Aurora Hospital who cared for her in her final days, especially Kirsten and Michael. Family and friends may visit at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S Michigan St, De Pere, on Thursday, January 18, from 9:00am until 10:15am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am with Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family.
