Doris Mae (Marchant) Nockerts

Doris Mae Nockerts, 94, of Green Bay, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2016. She was born on October 1, 1921, in Green Bay, the daughter of Ephraim and Sylvia (Peters) Marchant. Doris graduated from Green Bay East High School, and was a life long resident of Green Bay. She married Dr. Kenneth Nockerts on December 30, 1948. They enjoyed 55 years of their lives together, raising two sons. Doris loved to play the piano, knit, and play bridge with her friends. She dedicated many years of volunteer work to the St. Vincents Hospital Gift Shop, and was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons: Steven (Ann) Nockerts of Madison; and Thomas (Debra) Nockerts of Green Bay. Six Grandchildren: David (Rebecca) Nockerts of Minneapolis; Regina (Hanno Hildmann) Nockerts of Madrid, Spain; Eric (Stephanie) Nockerts of Milwaukee; Timothy Nockerts of Green Bay; Katherine (Tyler) Boone of Oak Creek; and Matthew Nockerts of Oshkosh. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Nockerts; her sister, Elizabeth Johnson; and her brother, Roger Marchant. A private memorial service for the family was held on August 13, 2016. Memorials in Doris name may be made to the St. Vincent Hospital Auxiliary.
