Doris M. (DeBauche) Smits, 85, De Pere, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012. Survivors include five children: Mary (Dennis) Wicker, Robert Jr. (Joanne) Smits, Ellen (Bob) Coenen, John (Sandra) Smits and Michael Smits; daughter-in-law Tracy Smits, son-in-law Ken Brittnacher, eight grand-children: Shelly, Becky, Matt, Jason, Jennifer, Megan, Lexine and Anne; 8 great-grandchildren: Ashley, Alex, Hanna, Marixsa, Isabelle, Hunter, Izack and Cole; brother-in-law Richard (Arlene) Smits and sister-in-law Marilyn Smits. She was preceded in death by: her parents, daughter, Teresa Brittnacher, a son, James (Sambo) Smits, brother, Albert DeBauche, sister, Isabelle Michalec, and a sister-in-law, Joan Smits. Family and friends may call at St. Mary Parish, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Town of Ledgeview, from 9:00am until the hour of Mass on Thursday, October 25. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am Thursday, at the Church, with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Interment in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, De Pere. Cotter Funeral Home and Cremation Services is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at San Luis Nursing Home for the care and concern shown to Doris and her family.
