Dora Degeneffe, 106, Green Bay, passed away from natural causes on Saturday, August 28th, 2015. The daughter of the late Louis (Ann) Frosch was born on March 26, 1909 in Lena. She married the love of her life, Roland, in the year 1936. Dora worked at Bellin Hospital for 19 years and was awarded the Employee of the Year in 1981, at the age of 72. When they lived on the farm (Oconto), she loved caring for her chickens and cooking for her family. Later, she loved working in her garden and knitting. She also loved to listen to polka music. Dora loved and cared for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known by many people as the “Cookie” grandma, because of her love of baking. Dora is survived by her son, Earl Degeneffe, grandchildren: Scott Grovogel, Tracy, Troy, and Cody Degeneffe; great-grandchildren: Cassidy, Haleigh, and Skyler Grovogel, Lauren Degeneffe; many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Dora was preceded in death by her children, Alford and Darlene; grandchild, Ryan Degeneffe; brothers, Harold and Bernie Frosch. Family and friends may visit Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave, De Pere, on Thursday, September 3, 2015, from 4:00pm until the time of service at 6:00pm.
