Donna M. Trachte

Donna M. Trachte, aged 92, of De Pere, joined her husband James in Heaven on February 1, 2024. She was born on July 23, 1931, to Jake and Mary Halada of Denmark, WI. After graduating from Denmark High School, Donna attended the Milwaukee Business Institute. Donna married the love of her life, James Trachte, on June 10, 1950, and the two of them celebrated 42 beautiful years of marriage together before James passed away on June 3, 1992.

Donna was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, where she served as a care minister. She was also a long-time member of the De Pere Women’s Club, a big supporter of the De Pere School District, and a member of the St. Vincent Hospital Auxiliary and its gift shop buyer for many years. Donna also worked in the business office of Hoida Lumber.

Donna is survived by her children Kent (Sharon) Trachte and their son Kenyon, Maureen York and her daughter Megan, Mary (David) Story and Mary’s children Adam & Alexandra, and Paul (Elizabeth) Trachte and their sons Davis & Nate, five great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and sons-in-law John York and Richard Greenfield.

A memorial Mass will be held at a later date. Donna will be laid to rest in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery. Cotter Funeral & Cremation Care is assisting the family with arrangements.
