Donna Jean (Bailey) Pattison

Donna Jean (Bailey) Pattison, 66, a lifelong resident of the Bradford, PA area, passed away peacefully at a local hospital in Green Bay, WI on Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Donna was born in Bradford, Pennsylvania, on July 17, 1946, a daughter of the late Eugene and Frances (Harriett) Bailey. She was a 1964 graduate of Bradford High School and also attended beauty school in Warren, PA. She was a beautician in her early adult life, and then was employed at the Corning Glass electronics plant in Bradford for over 30 years, retiring in January 2001. After her retirement, she took great pleasure providing daycare for her grandchildren. On October 4, 1975, Donna married Gerald Lee “Jerry” Pattison. They lived on Bolivar Drive in Foster Township for more than 33 years. She has temporarily resided with her sister and brother-in-law in De Pere, WI, the past 14 months. Donna suffered a stroke in June 2008, but that did not detract from her ability to show her love to her family, and make the birthdays and holidays even more special. She received the greatest joy in spending time with Jerry and her children and grandchildren, and in visiting with her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed watching Jeopardy, solving word puzzles, and going shopping. This past year, Donna traveled a great deal. She returned to Pennsylvania and visited her son and grandsons, and her daughter and husband. She also attended a reunion of her brother-in-law’s family in Owego, NY; went to St. Louis, MO, to watch a Cardinals baseball game with her nephew, Jason, and his family; and spent New Year’s Day in Zion, IL, with her nephews, Michael and Shawn, and their families. Donna is survived by her husband, Jerry; two children: Steve (Peggy) Pattison, Bradford PA; Kim (Tim) Rhodes, Lititz, PA; two grandsons, Scott and Jake Pattison, Bradford, PA; a brother, David (Sheila) Bailey, Portville, NY; a sister, Diana (C. Frank) Thomas, De Pere, WI; an uncle, Douglas Case, Lewis Run, PA; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. There is a phrase Jerry would use, always making sure that Donna would hear or see it; and is recorded here one last time - “Ini ibi kita.”
