Donald Robert Smith

Donald Robert Smith, of Denmark, WI, passed away on Thursday, March 8th at the age of 84. Don was born near Chippewa Falls, WI to Bernard and Ann (Brown) Smith.

Don was an avid fisherman and although his grandsons would say he had a wild cast, he would easily out fish anyone with a simple hook and worm. His favorite place to be in life was in his boat on Pine Lake in Hiles, WI. He appreciated a good set of suspenders, growing his own vegetables, eating at his favorite diners, and he would shoot the breeze with anyone who would listen.

He is survived by his son, Robert (Rebecca) Smith and 2 grandsons, Hunter and Rylan Smith of Marengo, IL.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings.

Visitation will be held at 12pm on Saturday, March 17 at Zion Lutheran Church in Marengo, IL (412 Jackson Street) followed by a memorial service at 1pm.
