Donald Louis Schley

Donald L. Schley, 83, Maribel, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, August 30, 2022. Donnie was born on June 22, 1939, in Cooperstown, WI to Wilbert and Esther (Gauger) Schley. On November 12, 1966, he married the love of his life Patricia Specht and they shared 55 amazing years together. Donnie was a machinist all his life but in his spare time enjoyed riding snowmobile, hunting and fishing, playing solitaire and watching his favorite show, Gunsmoke. Above all Donnie was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa.

Donnie will be deeply missed by his Wife, Pat; Son, Jamie (Heidi) Schley; Granddaughter, Megan (Justin) Klein and their children Addison and Jace; Dani Nenefledt and her children, Alexa and Caden. He is further survived by Sisters, Caroline (John) Rabenhorst, and Sharon (Dennis) Beck; Brother, Roy Schley; and brother-in-law, Eugene (Pat) Specht.

Donnie was proceeded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Esther Schley; father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Specht; brother-in-law, Kevin Specht; and Nephews, Todd and Jay Rabenhorst.

Donnie’s family would like to especially thank their friends Tom and Carol Frelick, Keith, Kyle, Kim, and Ion Habeck for all their care and assistance they gave to Pat throughout the years and to our special angel, Matt Fidler, who has been with us every step of the way.

Donnie will be buried at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in Maribel.
