Dolores M. Kettenhofen

March 4, 1930 — December 16, 2023

Dolores Margaret Kettenhofen, 93, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away on December 16, 2023. She was born on March 4, 1930, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to Gerald and Leona (Geurts) Gerrits.


Dolores attended St. Paul's Grade School in Wrightstown, Wisconsin, for her primary education. She then went on to graduate from Wrightstown High School in 1947. She married Robert Kettenhofen on May 27, 1952 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Wrightstown, Wisconsin. They had 49 1/2 years of special life together.


In her free time, Dolores enjoyed being a member of the Wrightstown American Legion Auxiliary Unit 436 for an incredible 70 years. She served as a past president of the unit and was actively involved in supporting American Legion activities. She also enjoyed reading, cards, gardening, golf and many days at the cottage. Many hours were spent attending sporting events of her family, as well as being an avid sports fan. She attended her first Packer game in 1939 at East Stadium with her father. Dolores was a dedicated member of Resurrection Parish, where she worshipped.


Dolores was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert, and her parents, as well as her in-laws, Peter and Leona Kettenhofen. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Roger (Joan) Gerrits and Gerald Gerrits, Jr., her sisters Norma (Kenneth) Buechler and Carol (Russel) Titel, and her sister-in-laws Mary (Joseph) Novitski, Helen (Amede) Vandevyver, Dorothy (Elzer) VandDeHey, and Lynes Zelzer.


Dolores is survived by her sons, Jeffery (Dolores) Kettenhofen and Timothy (Cynthia) Kettenhofen, her daughter, Jill (Brian) Kerhin, her sister-in-laws, Mary Jane Gerrits, Nancy Titel, and her grandchildren, Jason and Eric Kettenhofen, Samuel and Jacob Kettenhofen, Mallory and Rachel Kerhin. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Jack and Liam Kettenhofen. Dolores had a special place in her heart for her Godchildren, Mary Beth Brightwell, Peter VanDeHey, Brian Titel, Kevin Agen, as well as many special nieces and nephews.


Dolores will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, her commitment to her community, and her kind and loving nature. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.


Family and friends may visit at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez, on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 9:30am until 10:45am. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00am with Fr. Tom Reynebeau officiating and Fr. Michael Betley as homilist. The service will be livestreamed at gbres.org/live
