Dennis Neumeyer

September 17, 1953 — January 21, 2013

Dennis Jerome Neumeyer, known as Ned, passed into eternal rest on January 21, 2013 after a lengthy battle with Lung Cancer at the Veteran’s Hospital in Milwaukee. Dennis was born on September 17, 1953 in Manitowoc, WI to Norbert and Elaine (Maney) Neumeyer. Dennis married Laura Van Horn on January 11, 2013 and is survived by her and daughter Alexis Hemmerich. Dennis graduated from Abbot Pennings High School. He served in the U.S Army in South Korea and attended NWTC in Green Bay. Dennis was a Photographer and an avid Packer fan. He also enjoyed caring for his pets and travel. He worked in Customer service for several companies throughout his life and most recently at Grand Central Station in De Pere, WI. Dennis is further survived by his parents, Norbert and Elaine Neumeyer, sisters, Debra (Frank) Prokop, Barbara (Thomas) Kiefer, Threse (Brent ) Martin, Susan ( Matthew) Vanniewenhoven all of Green Bay, WI; brother, James Neumeyer of Green Bay and Michael Neumeyer of Adelanto, California. He is also survived by 9 nieces and nephews; Laura’s brother, Gary Sherman of Poughkeepesie, NY; sister, NormaJean Olinger- Fish of Kentucky, many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Neumeyer; Maternal Grandparents, Irving and Laura (Gill) Maney; Paternal Grandparents, Edward and Alvina (Stahl) Neumeyer Sr. and mother in law, Joan Van Horn. A memorial service will be held on Feb.2, 2013 at 2p.m at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 North Webster Ave, DePere. The family is requesting, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to a memorial fund in his name at Associated Bank of DePere, 206 N. Wisconsin St., De Pere, WI, 54115 to offset medical and funeral costs.
