Dennis N. Danen, 67, De Pere, passed away Monday, October 1, at his home. The son of Leo and Eileen (Nelson) Danen was born August 28, 1945 in De Pere. He served his country in the Army, having been stationed in Germany. He married Sharon Borneman on November 19, 1977 in Green Bay. He was a member of the Corvette Club and made his life restoring cars for auction. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sharon, mother, Eileen, step-children: Doreen and Diane (Craig), step-son in law: Mike Gutowski, grandchildren: Danielle Nelson, Missy Jensen and Bobby Stordeur, a brother, Steven (Susan) Danen, brother-in-law: Dale (Judy) Borneman, nieces, nephews, and many good friends. Dennis was preceded in death by: his father, Leo, infant brother, Lee James and a step-daughter, Debbie Gutowski, one niece and nephew. Family and friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave, De Pere from 4-7pm on Friday, October 5. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday, from 9am until the time of service. Service will be held at 11am, at the funeral home, with the Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Entombment in Allouez Mausoleum. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the Brown County Sheriff’s Department and the De Pere Fire and Rescue Squad for all their efforts bestowed on Dennis.
