Darryl J. Derricks

Darryl Derricks, age 79, a resident of the Town of Eaton died August 6, 2019 with his family by his side. He was born on October 2, 1939 to the late Harry and Anna (Arendt) Derricks. He was a 1958 Denmark High School Graduate. He then graduated from UW River Falls in 1962 with a degree in Agriculture Science and Economics. He started his career as a lamb and veal buyer with Wilson & Company, followed by Cattle Buyer for Armours and finishing his career at Packerland Packing.
Darryl married Carol Seidl on July 28, 1962 at St. Mary’s Church, Glenmore, Wisconsin and they recently celebrated 57 years of marriage. He most enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren at all their events and family gatherings. He also had a love for all animals enjoying his hobby farm, showing at the County and State fair and then later judging at the County Fairs. One of his favorite hobbies was trading and buying stocks.
He is survived by his wife, Carol, four children; Denise (Kevin) Leiterman, Dean (Jill) Derricks, Deanna (Bob) Olsen and Danielle (Chris) Wincapaw, ten grandchildren; Josh and Tori Leiterman, Paige (Special friend Tanner), Blake (Special friend Haley), Lakin (Special friend Sawyer) and Drake Derricks, Julia (Special friend Will), Sarah Olsen, Hailey and Drew Wincapaw. He is further survived by four brothers; Larry (Barb), Brice, Doane and Darwin (Linda), one sister, Linda (Tom) Paider, sisters and brothers in law; Dorothy Derricks, Judy Derricks, Patsy (Jim) Potts, Mike Seidl, Dave (Bev) Seidl and Gary Tomcheck, godchildren; Doane and Dennis Derricks, De De Fricke and Jill McCaughn, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Darryl was preceded in death by his parents, his in laws, Michael and Lillian Seidl, his brother Gayle, Sister in law Joyce Tomcheck and friend of the family, Cindy Billings.
Family and friends may gather on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 beginning at 9:00am at Prince of Peace Catholic Parish, 3425 Willow Road, Green Bay, until 11:15, with the Mass of Christian burial being held at 11:30am, with Fr. Dennis Ryan officiating. Entombment will take place at Allouez Catholic Cemetery and Chapel Mausoleum.
The family thanks the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, County Rescue and the emergency room staff at Bellin Hospital.
