Darlene M. Lefevre

August 5, 1940 — April 3, 2024

Darlene Margaret LeFevre, age 83, and who resided in De Pere, WI, went to the Lord in peace on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 as a result of an illness she could no longer fight. She was born in Manitowoc, WI on August 5, 1940 to the late Leonard and Cyrilla (Suttner) Duenkel. She graduated from Manitowoc High School in 1958, after which time she traveled extensively to places in Africa and South America, eventually living in Brazil for many years. While in Brazil, she worked as a translator and executive assistant for mining companies and also for World Vision. In mid 1985, she came back to the states and settled in De Pere, starting a long illustrious career at St. Norbert College, finally retiring around 2021. She felt that her time at SNC was the best in her life. She made many good friends wherever she went, as she liked cooking, music and the arts, and spending time with family.

Darlene is survived by her sons; Kurt (girlfriend Brenda) LeFevre, Shane (Jackie) LeFevre (daughters Felicity, Jordan, Bella and Landon) and James (Michele) LeFevre. She is further survived by her eldest sister, Shirley Wall and her son Jess, daughter Kim and nephews Jeffrey (wife Kay, daughters Melissa and Jennifer) Chris Kanzelberger and Michael Kane as well as many close friends.

Preceding her in death are both her parents, sister, Geraldine (Warren) Kanzelberger and brother in law, Phil Wall.

Family and friends may gather on Thursday, May 2, 2024 beginning at 4:00pm with a memorial service and reception to follow St. Norbert College Parish (Old St. Joseph Catholic Church), 100 Grant St. De Pere, WI 54115.
