Darlene (Blackman) Monson

Darlene J. Monson, age 87, of De Pere and formerly of Stevens Point passed away November 3, 2015. The daughter of the late Edwin and Violet (Engel) Blackman was born October 2, 1928 in Elgin, Illinois. She married Leif Monson on June 4, 1949, to whom she was a dedicated and supportive pastor’s wife and mother to their three children. Survivors include her son, Stephen (Carolyn) Monson; daughter, Deborah (Tim) Williams; grandchildren: Tory (Sherrie) Monson, Molly (Bryan) Verhelst, Jesse (Andria) Monson, and Cassidy Williams; as well as great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, friends and other family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leif, a daughter Barbara, her parents and a brother Ed.
