Darla Kay (Harkrader) Stephenson

Darla Kay Stephenson, 66, Town of Lawrence, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 surrounded by her family. On June 28, 1951 she was born to Marvin and Darline (Smith) Harkrader in Wichita, Kansas. She was a graduate of Paradise Valley High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. On May 2, 1980 she married Mark Stephenson in Phoenix, AZ. Darla was a Certified Professional Paralegal with Godfrey Kahn Law Offices. She was a former president of Wisconsin Association of Legal Professionals. Her hobbies included camping, gardening, shopping for antiques and bargains at rummage sales but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Especially the times spent with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Mark; daughter, Rachel Stephenson; son, Jake (Melanie) Stephenson; grandchildren, Reese Radloff, Paul Stephenson, Kyle Stephenson, Alexis Stephenson, Colton Greene; her father, Marvin Harkrader; step-father, Bill Wing; brother, Alan (Betty) Harkrader; sisters, Bonita Gormey and Donna Davis; many other relatives and friends. Darla is preceded in death by her mother, Darline Wing; grandparents, Ernest and Norma Smith. Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 12 noon until 2:00pm. A celebration of Darla’s life will be at 2:00pm with Rev. John Fish officiating.
