Cynthia "Cindy" Larose

July 14, 1950 — April 8, 2011

Cynthia D. (Cindy) LaRose, Green Bay, on Friday, April 8, 2011 found peace and is in God’s protection, joining her father, Philip A. LaRose. She was born on July 14, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan. Cindy became a Green Bay resident in 2004 following a car accident. She is survived by her mother, Virginia D. LaRose, Green Bay; sister, Carolyn C. Chandik and her husband, John, Green Bay; nephew, Scott J. Chandik, his wife, Marivic, daughters, Mae, Isabella and Alessandra all of Neenah; niece, Amy B. Kundinger, her husband Andy, sons Arlo and Alden; niece Marcy L. Libby, her husband Brett, children Mason and Joanna, all of Minneapolis. Cindy was lovingly cared for by her “other family”, the caregivers at Mirage Point, her adult family home. They were all her favorite! Many thanks to Kim V., Vera, Cari, Nicole, Trista, Kim C, and Alexis. The deepest appreciation to Jen McCargar, her “boss” who has been with her since Mirage Point became her new home. Cindy has given her families many wonderful memories that will bring smiles to our faces and laughter to our conversations. She could sometimes make life challenging but it was always rewarding. Cindy thought life was at its best when she could share time with the many people who loved her, have a ham sandwich, a root beer and a snickerdoodle cookie. Special thanks to Mary Vander Steeg, of Brown Co. Human Services, for finding Cindy’s housing and for all of her care and guidance over the years. To Kevin LaPointe, of Compass Development, for providing such wonderful housing that was truly a home for Cindy. Also to Unity Hospice for helping Cindy take her final journey in life. Family and friends may call at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Dr., Allouez, on Friday, April 15, 2011 from 10am to 12noon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12noon on Friday at the church with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed to Cindy’s family at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
