Curt Michael Kelly

Curt Michael Kelly, 35 passed away unexpectedly Monday August 6, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 27, 1976 to Michael and Grace (Gardebrecht) Kelly of De Pere. He attended De Pere High School and graduated in 1995. He attended NWTC in Green Bay. He worked as a mechanical engineer for several years and briefly worked and lived in Arizona. In 2007 he suffered a traumatic brain injury. In the years to follow he showed great strength and courage to overcome the impossible. Curt enjoyed spending time bowling and fishing. He loved listening to music and playing with his five nieces and nephews. Curt also enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. He had a special bond with his parents dog Trudy. The warmth of his smile will be forever in our hearts. He is survived by his loving parents Michael and Grace Kelly, De Pere; His sisters Jennifer (Scott) Wilson, Little Suamico; Melissa (Charlie) Lenn, De Pere; Kristen (Andrew) Schroeder, Madison; his brother Brian Kelly (Johannes Stauder) Germany; and Grandmother Joan Kelly. He will be greatly missed by his nephews Brody and Cutter Wilson and Grady Lenn and his nieces Vayda Wilson and Sophie Lenn. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Leonard and Maytie Gardebrecht; and Earl Kelly. Visitation will be held at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere, on Wednesday August 8, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday August 9, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday at church, with the Rev. John H. Harper officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
