Concetta "Connie" Scasny

Concetta M. “Connie” Scasny, 85, Green Bay, formerly of Hartford, WI, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at St Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. Chetty was born in Milwaukee,WI, January 26, 1926, the daughter of the late Stephen and Josephine Patti. On May 22, 1948, Connie married Frank C. Scasny in Milwaukee,WI, and he preceded her in death on February 6, 1984. After Frank died Chetty showed her independence by traveling to New York City for a 4th of July Celebration as well as traveling to Disney World even going on Space Mountain. Connie enjoyed babysitting for various families in town. Mom loved living at the Fort Howard Apartments and was always the first one to sign up for any outing the apartment had. She always looked forward to the many outings, parties, and especially the Bingo games. Barbara and Gayle - thank you for helping to make the Fort Howard Apartments a “home” for Mom. Thank you to Mom’s two special caregivers, Elaine and Joanne, she thought the world of you. Connie is survived by her two children: Patricia, Green Bay, and Randall, Libertyville, IL; her brother, Stephen Guagliardo; and a sister-in-law, Marie Scasny; as well as many nieces and nephews, other family members and friends. Family and friends may call at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere,WI on Monday, June 13, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the parish prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at St Francis Xavier Cathedral, 140 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Cathedral with Rev. V. Anthony Dolski officiating. On Wednesday, June 15, 2011 there will be an additional visitation at the mausoleum chapel at Holy Cross Mausoleum, 7301 West Nash St., Milwaukee, WI, starting at 11:30 a.m. with a short prayer service at 12:00 p.m. officiated by Rev V.
