Clarence F. Parma

Clarence F. Parma, 94, Allouez, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010. He was born October 23, 1915 in the Town of Carlton to the late Charles and Frances (Uhlers) Parma. Clarence married Marcella Schlies on September 7, 1946 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Stangelville. She preceded him in death on Dec. 24, 2006. Clarence served in the Army in WWII in the 120 AAA Gun Battalion. He was in the Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns. Clarence worked at the Spiegel Farm Store, Two Creeks Garage, Derenne and Miles Implement Co., and he retired from Procter and Gamble in February of 1978 after 23 years of service. Clarence loved gardening, traveling, listening and dancing to polka music, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his 3 children: Ken and Mark Parma, both of Allouez and Joyce (Stephen) Bouche of Ashwaubenon; 2 grandchildren, Nick (Maria) Bouche and Anthony Bouche; 2 sisters, Frances Rasmussen and Marcella Cherney; 3 brothers: Charles (Helen) Parma, John (Janet) Parma, and Sylvester (Darlene) Parma; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Clarence was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Marcella; his parents; 7 sisters-in-law; and 7 brothers-in-law. Family and friends may call Monday, March 8 at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave., De Pere from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a parish prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St., Green Bay from 11:00 a.m. until Noon. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Tuesday at Noon with the Rev. Larry Seidl officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Mausoleum. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed to Clarence’s family at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Unity Hospice. Clarence’s family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Prevea Clinic, especially Dr. David Richards, the staff , nurses, and CNA’s at Wyndemere Estates, especially Eve and Sandy, and to the staff at Unity Hospice, especially Brenda and Jenny, for the compassion and care they gave to Dad.
