Clara Kamps

July 27, 1933 — February 2, 2023

Clara (Ambrosius) Kamps entered her heavenly home on February 2, 2023 at the age of 89. She was born on July 27, 1933 in Wrightstown to Louis and Marie (Minten) Ambrosius. On May 26, 1953, Clara married her true love, Ken Kamps, and they would have been married 70 years in May. They were blessed with three children: Mary Claire, Paul and Richard.

Clara enjoyed golfing, bowling, and traveling with friends and family. She loved singing in the Martha Choir and attending bible study with Sr. JoAnn. Clara was a lifetime member of St. Clare Parish-St. Paul Site and was a member of the former Ladies Society.

During her life Clara enjoyed the loving relation she had with her grandchildren: Terry Jo (Brian) Leiterman, Elizabeth (Matt) Helgeson, Paul (Kristin) Albers, Peter (Jamie) Albers, Craig (Gracey) Kamps and Kyle (Kristen) Kamps. She enjoyed watching all of their sports. Bringing great joy were her 15 great-grandchildren: Isaac, Simon, Ruby, Owen, Mae, Sydney, Sage, Zoie, Danica, Peter, Nico, Kingston, Kenji, Quinn and Kilian.

She is further survived by her caring husband Ken; her daughter Mary Claire (Peter) Albers and son Richard (Lisa) Kamps. Further survived by her brother-in-law Carl Verstagen and sister-in-law Marilyn Ambrosius.

She was preceded in death by her son Paul; mother and father; sisters: Verna (John) LeRoy and Doris Verstagen, brothers: Robert (Gen) Ambrosius, Richard (Phyllis) Ambrosius and Marlin Ambrosius. Also preceded by her in-laws: Meta and Henry Kamps (Robert French), Delores and Randy Blajeski, Marion and Chet Grenier, Lorraine and Robert Krueger; as well as niece and nephews: Patty Campbell, Dave Krueger and Gary LeRoy.
