Cheryl Ann Koenig

September 16, 1966 — February 19, 2021

Cheryl Ann Koenig, age 54 of Denmark, passed away on Friday February 19, 2021. She was born on September 16, 1966 in Green Bay to Gerald and Beverly (Van Dreel) Pieschek. She graduated from Denmark High School with the class of 1984. While in high school, she worked at Greiling Farms and saved up for her first car, a 1976 Chevy Camaro she proudly named “George”. She went on to attend Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland, WI. With her diploma, she began her career as an Optometric Assistant and worked at several Green Bay eye clinics. She was trusted and dependable to her employers and coworkers. Her quiet and gentle spirit made her loved by all.

On September 26, 1987 she married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, John Koenig. She was a caring and compassionate soul with a smile that could light up the room and a giggle that would make anyone’s heart happy. Her organizational skills and creativity helped her create a pantry straight out of a magazine. When it came to having children, she was hopeful for boys. After 10 years of marriage, her wish came true. Cheryl gave birth to their first son with a second to follow 5 years later. Jacob and Jackson brought her absolute joy. You could see the sparkle in her eyes when she looked at her boys. They quickly became her number one priority. Because of her easygoing nature, she went along with John snowmobiling but was really happy that he now had two young companions to take her place. In her final years, Cheryl was happy just having company, getting a manicure or looking at any photos you’d share with her. And if you brought her a sweet treat, you’d really make her day! She was a special treasure, and everyone will miss her.

Survivors include her husband, John; sons, Jacob and Jackson (Cheyenne Storzer); parents Gerald and Beverly Pieschek; mother-in-law Margaret Koenig; sisters and brother, Amy (Dan) Delebreau, Sheila (Dennis) Wachowski, Jeremy (Cassie) Pieschek. She is further survived by her sisters and brother-in-law; Cheryl (Ralph) Demmin, Lynn Kudick, Faith (Glenn) Jaeger and Mike Koenig, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, Godchildren, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death are her grandparents, Chester and Catherine Pieschek and Henry and Mildred Van Dreel; father-in-law, Wilbert Koenig; brother-in-law, Ron Kudick; and cousin, Kerri Ingersoll.
