Braxten David Volkema was born on November 24, 2017, to Mikayla Thomma and Sean Volkema, of Mishicot Wisconsin, and became our angel on November 25, 2017, due to many complications. In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister Breylynn Volkema, his maternal grandparents Carmen (Les) Frank of Norway, MI and Vaughn Thomma of Escanaba Mi. His paternal grandparents Tammy (Duane) Wery, of Denmark Wi; Scott (Jen) Brantmeier of Green Bay, Wi. and Bruce Wendt of Kellnersville, Wi. Paternal Great Grandparents David (Lorraine) Volkema; Raymond (Sandra) Brantmeier of Maribel Wi.; and Maternal Great Grandparents John (Marcia) Burris of Jellico Tennessee and Rodney (Annetta) Thomma of Escanaba, MI Aunts and Uncles: Ethan (Heather Troyer) Thomma, Ed (Guadalupe) Volkema, David (Susan) Volkema, Tony Brantmeier, Sawyer Wery, Dixie Wery, and Daisy Wery. Braxten is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would also like to take the time to thank the Labor / Delivery floor and NIC-U nurses and doctors of Aurora BayCare Medical Center for their loving care, support and determination to give Braxten a fighting chance. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 on Friday December 1, 2017 with service at 7 at Cotter Funeral Home-Denmark Chapel, 536 County Rd R in Denmark, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers the family, a memorial fund is being established at Capital Credit Union c/o Mikayla Thomma 1651 Main Street, Green Bay, Wi 54302
