Bonnie Mae Gauthier, 78, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015 after a long battle with heart disease. She was born May 6, 1937 to the late Henry and Thelma (Hendrickson) Kafka. She graduated from Denmark High School with the graduating class of 1955. On May 18, 1957, she married Donald Gauthier who she later divorced. She worked outside the home for most of her life, but Bonnie’s love was being a mother, grandmother and homemaker. She loved to cook and bake and made the best Danish Kringle. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Denis Kafka, her brothers-in-law Richard Mincheski and Donald Minten, Hubert Hermans and niece Lois Minten. Bonnie is survived by her son, Pat (Kim) of Tonet, daughters Mary and Paula, both of Denmark, her granddaughters, Pamela (Brad) Van Ven Roy of Eaton and Michelle Castro of Denmark, her great-grandson, Brandon Van Ven Roy, her sisters, Mary Mincheski of Denmark, Jean Minten of De Pere, Laurene (Richard) Kolarik of Denmark, her brother Lawrence (Donna) Kafka of Denmark and her uncle Clayton Hendrickson. She is further survived by former in-laws Janet Hermans, Dale (Elaine) Gauthier, David (Peggy) Gauthier and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit All Saints Catholic Church in Denmark on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of Mass of Christian Burial at 4:00 p.m., with Fr. Kevin Ori officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
