Beverly Vande Hey

March 5, 1940 — March 7, 2016

Beverly (Orlando) Vande Hey, 76, De Pere, passed away Monday, March 7, 2016 at home with her family by her side. The daughter of the late Richard and Florence (Rymer) Orlando was born on March 5, 1940 in the township of Crivitz. She graduated from Crivitz High School in 1959. She worked at Witt’s IGA in Crivitz during and after school. Beverly then journeyed to Milwaukee to work at Milwaukee Resistors. She met the love of her life Hilary Vande Hey, and the two were married on November 21, 1962 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Wrightstown; “What a pair of socks would do.” After they were married, they moved to the family farm and raised three children. Beverly shared 46 wonderful years with the love of her life, and she kept his loving memory going for nine more years after his passing in 2007. She enjoyed feeding the calves, cooking and grilling for her family, shopping and doing the dishes. She liked to go to Crivitz for a little get-a-way vacation, and loved spending time in the backyard with all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her three children: Rodney Vande Hey, Wanda (Gerry) Klister, Celina Vande Hey, seven grandchildren: Matthew (Leah) Vande Hey, Evan Vande Hey, Glen Vande Hey, Gabrielle Knaus, Corrine Klister, Megan (Martrell) Webster, Virginia Knaus; three great-grandchildren: Landon Vande Hey, Abigail Vande Hey, Lauren Vande Hey; two sisters: Eunice Orlando, Verona Van De Hey; two brothers: Floyd Orlando, Richard (Lorraine) Orlando; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Beverly was preceded in death by two sisters: Ileen Sikowski, Patricia Rogacewski; and two brothers-in-law: Marvin Subert, Sonny Van De Hey. Family and friends may visit Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Ave, De Pere, on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 4pm until 6pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, 2770 Bay Settlement Road, Green Bay from 11am until the time of service at Noon with Chaplain Brad McIntyre officiating. Entombment will follow the service. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com Beverly’s family would like to thank St. Elizabeth Radiology team, Green Bay Oncology, especially Dr. Volk, and the caregivers at Southern Care Hospice, especially Chris. We would also like to thank the BMO Harris Bank team members at the De Pere office, Joan, Gayle, Matt, and all the others she met over the years. They always made her day a brighter one.
