Betty J. Beckers

April 30, 1927 — June 19, 2018

Betty J. Beckers, age 91, of De Pere, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018. The daughter of the late Benjamin and Agnes (Grohusky) Drewiske was born April 30, 1927 in Green Bay. She married Robert Beckers on December 27, 1950, and he preceded her in death in 1998.
Betty was a lifelong resident of De Pere. Upon graduation from Badger Business College, she began her career with Schreiber Foods, as employee number 5. In 1950, Betty and Bob were married and she left Schreiber to start her family. After raising her children with unconditional love and understanding, she played a huge role in participating in her grandchildrens’ lives as “grandma daycare”. Once those children were grown and starting their own families, she transitioned to “great-grandma daycare”. She loved her family with all her heart and soul. This year Betty received her commemorative statue for 75 years membership in the Catholic Knights. Other loves included traveling, playing bridge with close friends, watching beautiful cardinals, and supporting the Packers (especially Brett Favre). She will be missed dearly by all of those fortunate enough to have been part of her family and part of her life.
Survivors include her six children: Marianne Beckers, Cynthia (Richard) Nocenti, Jim (Laura) Beckers, Dave Beckers, Deb (Kevin) Tenpas, Amy (Don) Kuhl; grandchildren: Bob Beckers, Dr. Brenda (Ben Lane) Beckers, Danielle (fiancé TJ Bacon) Beckers, Andrew Ingold; great-grandchildren: Robyn and Lilly Palet-Beckers; extended family: Nicholas Bates and son Michael, Maria (Jeremie Carlson) Nocenti and son Henri, Alex Nocenti, Haleigh Larson, Josh (Andrea) Zank and children Addison and Parker, Eric (Kayla) Zank and children Kason and Krew, Tyler (fiancée Dr. Cheryl Naylor) Tenpas, Megan (Abe) Schunk and daughter Esmay, siblings: Shirley Corrigan, Gerald (Marlene) Drewiske and Connie Turriff; sister-in-law Betty Gentz.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Robert.
