Bernard "Bud" Treml

Bernard G. “Bud” Treml, 90, Allouez, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. He was born May 31, 1921 in Glenmore WI, son of Wolfgang and Frances (Schaetz) Treml. Bernard graduated from St. Norbert High School. He served his country in the Army Air Corps from 1942-1946. On December 10, 1942, in Hartford, CT, Bernard married Eunice Gerard Guy. They were married for sixty years. She passed away May 12, 2003. Bernard worked as a field engineer for Burroughs Corp (UNISYS Corp) for many years. He was an active member of the People of God Prayer Group of St. Matthew Church. He was a longtime volunteer at Unity Hospice and St Vincent De Paul. Bud enjoyed many years of fishing in Canada, he was a woodworker, birdwatcher and Master Gardener. He enjoyed watching his grandsons play football and more recently watching the great grandchildren and all the life and energy they had. Bud enjoyed eating out and giving his favorite waitresses a hard time. Bernard will be sadly missed by his family; sons: B. Peter Treml, Marquette, MI, and Christopher (Cindy) Treml, Ashwaubenon WI; two daughters: Carol (Allan) Radawitz Hubertus WI and Maureen (Thomas) Flatley, Neenah WI; grandchildren: Heidi Treml, Jacki (Ed) Treml Gottlieb, Katie (Jim) Radawitz Powell, Karen (Eric) Radawitz Vander Loop, David Radawitz, Patti (Matt) Treml Dufek, Christopher Treml, and Matthew (Hilary) Treml; 6 great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law LaVerne Treml. Josh, his cat and Hunter, his dog, will also miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents; 12 brothers and sisters; his wife, Eunice; a son, Paul Robert Treml; a daughter-in-law, Mary Treml; and granddaughter, Megan Flatley. Family and friends may call at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez, on Saturday, January 21, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Rite of committal with full military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery De Pere. Cotter Funeral Homes, De Pere is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. A memorial fund has been established by the family for Unity Hospice Green Bay in lieu of flowers. The family would like to thank Unity Hospice for their compassionate care.
