Barbara Jean Morris Mac Naughton Barbara Jean Morris Mac Naughton, 85, Allouez, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire, Wisconsin with her loved ones at her side. Daughter of the late Roy and Rosena Morris, Barb was born May 18, 1928 in Appleton, Wisconsin. She attended Appleton High School and graduated from Lawrence College with a degree in economics in 1950, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and was very active with her Sorority. Barb worked at Employees Mutual of Wausau as an accountant. She married Donald Cameron Mac Naughton, May 26, 1951, in Appleton, Wisconsin. She was passionately devoted to her family, she redefined love and the art of grand parenting. She loved the holidays, decorating her home, tennis, bird watching, skating, biking and was an avid fan of all her children and her grandchildren’s sports and Green Bay Packers. She loved her golden retrievers and feeding wild life. Survivors include her four children: Barbie Mac Naughton-Bernhardt, Chippewa Falls, WI, and her children, Whitney and Arthur; Nancy (Dewitt) Carmer, Rollinsford, NH, and their two children, Riley and Jesse; Jennie (John) Bourguignon, De Pere and their two daughters, Emily and Katie, and Duncan (Cindy) Mac Naughton, Rogers, AR and their children, Ainslee, Taylor, Miranda, and Saryn. Barb was preceded in death by her husband, Don, her parents; her siblings Bonnie VanderVelden, Wesley (Bob) Morris, Bill Morris ;and son in law, Art Bernhardt. A celebration of Barb’s life will be held on Sunday, September 8th from 11:30 am to 2:30pm at The Rite Place in Green Bay. The family looks forward to greeting Barb’s many friends, and will hold a brief tribute to Barb at 2:30pm. Flowers and online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. The family would like to extend grateful appreciation to Barb’s care givers: Ada, Mary Ellen, Nancy, Lois, Kelly, and the staff at Sacred Heart in Eau Claire. The family would like to express a special thank you for the love, care and attention Barb’s wonderful friends provided, especially after this last, tough year. A Memorial Fund has been established in Barb Mac Naughton's name directing funds to community benefactors, including the YMCA.
