Barbara Jean Schrank

Barbara Jean Schrank, 73, of Green Bay, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014 following a brief illness. Barb was born August 28, 1940 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Fabian and Harriet (Hanson) Schrank. She was a graduate of Green Bay East High School. Barb was employed by Bay Towel for many years. Most recently, she worked at San Luis Manor until her retirement. After her retirement from San Luis Manor, Barb dedicated her time to taking care of her mother and managing their household She was actively involved in the Prayer Group and the Ladies Quilting Group at her church, Calvary Lutheran. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Her Mom was able to be at home until her passing due to the dedicated care Barb provided. Barb is survived by her brother-in-law, Donald Haupt, who was truly the brother she never had. She is further survived by her loving nieces; Lilli (Jim) Storandt and Becky (Greg) Prichett, as well as her great nieces and nephews; Chris Kulhanek, Shirley Kulhanek, Katie Betz, Emily Betz, Isaac Prichett, Sarah Storandt and Nick Storandt. She loved and treated them as if they were her own children. Barb also leaves behind, many cousins as well as her beloved pooch, Coco. Barb was proceeded in death by her parents; her sister, Patricia Haupt and her niece, Kathy Haupt. Funeral services will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church , 1301 S. Ridge Road, Green Bay, at 11:00am on Saturday, March 8 with the Rev. Earl Vorpagel III officiating.Visitation will be held from 9:00am until 10:45am prior to the service. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed to Barb’s family at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Calvary Lutheran Church for the ladies quilting group are preferred. Barb's family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Woodside Lutheran home and Bellin Hospital for their compassionate care as well as a special thank you to her caring friends, Bill and Mary Hagar and childhood friend Mary Ellen Watermolen.
