Barbara A. (Lacount) Leiterman

Barbara Anne Leiterman, age 77, of Denmark, passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. The daughter of Earl and Geneva LaCount was born July 19, 1940 in Green Bay. She married Gerald Louis Leiterman on May 30, 1962 at Saint Willebrods Roman Catholic Church and he preceded her in death in 2004. Most of her life, Barb worked as a bookkeeper for numerous local businesses and then ending her career as a lab technician for the Village of Denmark Wastewater treatment plant. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a loyal supporter of her friends and family. Barb enjoyed playing Bingo, participating in her card club, crafting, attending her grandkids sporting and extra-curricular activities, gambling trips and aqua therapy at the CP Center. She was a member of All Saints Parish in Denmark and a member of the church Altar Society. Survivors include her children: Kevin (Denise) Leiterman of Denmark, Chris Leiterman of Denmark, Anne (Dean) Chaloupka of Wellington, FL, Amy (Daren Sommerfeldt) Karakas of Green Bay and Alice (Jim) Bergelin of Denmark; grandchildren: Josh and Tori Leiterman, Brandon, Morgan and Hannah Chaloupka, Kierstin, Luke and Jacob Karakas, Gabrielle, Brock, Alec and Ethan Bergelin; brother Jim LaCount(Donna), former sister in law Sue Patton; Brother and sisters-in-law: Peter and Suzanne Graziano, Elaine Leiterman. Many nieces and nephews, including her godchild Shane LaCount. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, parents Earl and Geneva Lacount, Joseph and Ellen Leiterman (father and mother in law), Richard Leiterman (brother in law) Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home-Denmark Chapel, 536 Cty Rd R, Denmark, on Wednesday, November 15, from 3pm until 6:30pm. A prayer service will conclude the evening at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday morning, at the funeral home, from 9:30am until 10:30am. Friends are then asked to meet at All Saints Catholic Church in Denmark for an 11:00am Mass of Christian Burial with Fr. Kevin Ori officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
