Arnold J Macco

Arnold J. Macco, 93, De Pere, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015. The son of Victor and Mary (Gillis) Macco was born on September 22, 1921 in Green Bay. Arnold married the former Delores Paal on May 3, 1941 and she preceded him in death in 1990. He served his country in the U.S. Army, and was a recipient of a Bronze Star. He was privileged to be a part of the Old Glory Honor Flight in 2011. Arnold worked at Procter and Gamble as a pressure vessel inspector for more than 43 years. He spent many winters in Texas. He was a former member of the Elks Club and Moose Lodge. In his free time, Arnold enjoyed golfing, bowling, dancing, and playing cards. Survivors include his three children: Sandra (Rich) Bestick; Diane (Herman) Delfosse; Linda (Keith) Kaebisch; 11 grandchildren: Terry (Lee) Bailey; Holly (Gary) Duquaine; Patty Danek; Amy (Tim) Mitok; Tammy (David) Danz; Jeff (Debbie) Zich; Tracy (Glen) Merkle; Brenda Olsen; Heather (Shawn) Diederich; Ann Marie (Bob Middleton) Vickman; Jason (Tricia) Vickman; 16 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; one brother, Harry Macco; one brother-in-law, Lyle La Plante; Arnold’s longtime companion: Betty Hirn; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Arnold was preceded in death by his sisters: Gerry (Cliff) Van Lanen; Evelyn (Gordy) Kropp; Arletta (Ed) Leanna; Donna La Plante; sister-in-law, Catherine Macco; Delores’ three sisters, one brother and their spouses. Friends and family may visit at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Dr, Allouez, from 2:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 5:00 p.m. with Bishop Robert Morneau officiating. Entombment will be in the Allouez Catholic Mausoleum. Cotter Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the Macco Family.
