Arlene Heim

Arlene Heim, 81, of Denmark, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 with her loving family at her side. She was born December 17, 1931 to the late Stanley and Edna (Terrien) Grusznski. Arlene married Leo Heim at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Glenmore on November 27, 1954. Arlene had an entrepreneurial spirit and along with her husband started and successfully ran several businesses including a service station, farm, Heim’s Beverly Gardens and most recently a trucking company. Arlene had a gift for hospitality and could effortlessly feed an army of people. She was known by all for her generosity, kindness and empathy. In addition to being an avid football and baseball fan, she enjoyed her many travels with her husband. Survivors include her husband Leo; children: Mark Heim, Michael (Mary) Heim, Dennis Heim all of Denmark, Jeanne (Mark) Wolf of Green Bay, Dean (Connie) Heim of DePere; grandchildren: Steven Hallet, Katie (Adam) Rabenhorst, Rebecca (Jeremy) Riedel, Megan (Alex Borden), Melissa, Alexandra Wolf, Brett, Evan, Mark Jr., Lydia and Leah; as well as great grandchildren: Addisen and Kailyn Rabenhorst and Liam Riedel. Arlene is further survived by: 2 daughters-in-law: Ellen Heim and Olga Heim; siblings: Agnes Benz, Alfred (Rita) Grusznski, Raymond (Elsie) Grusznski, Evelyn (Thomas Cavanaugh) Stetson, Kathleen Dworak, Mary (Jerome) Watzka and Patrick (Marie) Grusznski; Sisters-in-law: Mary Jane Grusznski, Lorraine Geurts, Alice Whitney-Danielski, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Grusznski and Clarence Grusznski; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Bernard Dworak, Marcella Grusznski, Alma VanRens Baye, Eveyln Hyska Sassman-Sharp, Loretta Leslie Connelly, Richard (Margaret) Heim, Gordon (Mathilde) Heim, Raymond Geurts, Erma (Arthur) Geurts and Urban (Bernice) Heim. Family and friends may visit at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, on Saturday, April 6, from 9:00am until 12:45pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm Saturday, with the Rev. Ralph Merkatoris officiating. Entombment in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family.
