Arleen Wiza

In loving memory of Arleen Wiza, who passed away on August 2, 2023, at the age of 82. She was born July 6, 1941, to Fred and Myrtie Jagow. Arleen was a devoted wife to James Wiza, and together they shared a beautiful life. She was a loving and doting stay-at-home mom who raised four wonderful children: Dan (Nicole), Debbie (Joe), Sherri, and Jeff (Hilary).

Arleen’s journey began when she graduated from Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac in 1959. She met her sweetheart and dance partner, Jim, in December 1963 and they married in April of 1965, forming a bond that would stand the test of time.

Arleen cherished family trips to Wisconsin Dells, creating lasting memories with her family. For over four decades, she found joy in participating in water aerobics, forming close and enduing friendships with fellow enthusiasts.

Music held a special place in Arleen’s heart, with a particular love for country music, especially Johnny Cash. Her frugal nature and keen eye for saving led her to become an avid coupon clipper, an art she mastered and appreciated.

Arleen’s devotion extended to her grandchildren: Nick, Casey, Corey (Jennalee) and Jacie, whom she adored with all her heart. She was a loving cat mom to Dewey and Jonathan, bringing warmth and joy to her home.

In addition to her husband, children and grandchildren, Arleen is survived by her sisters, Marion and Lorraine, in-laws, and many nieces and nephews. Her loving presence, infectious laughter, and unwavering care will be forever missed, but the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, Arleen. Your legacy of love and kindness will never be forgotten.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, August 10, 2023, from 9:00 am until 10:45 am at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 220 S. Michigan Street, De Pere, WI. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am with Rev. Mike Ingold officiating.
