Arleen June (Storzer) Christensen

Arleen June Christensen, 87, Denmark, passed away Thursday evening, August 25, 2016, at Scandinavian Court Assisted Living in Denmark. She was born on June 29, 1929, daughter of the late Leroy and Ella (Langosch) Storzer. On June 12, 1954, Arleen was married to Roger Christensen at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denmark and together they enjoyed 53 years before he passed away in 2008. Arleen was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Denmark and a member of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed playing Sheepshead at Scandinavian Court assisted living and traveling with Roger. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean Mark Jahnke of Maribel, and Kay Rick Borzych of Pulaski; six grandchildren, Sabrina (fiancé Andy Skaletski) Jahnke, Heath Jahnke and Kirk (fiancé Heidi Leiterman) Jahnke, Leah Borzych, Andrew Borzych and Mitchell Borzych; three great-grandchildren: Colton, Carter and Addilynn. Also surviving are sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Elaine Storzer, Ruth Christensen, Bernell and Maysel Christensen, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her husband, Roger, and parents, Arleen was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Christensen, brothers and sisters-in-law Norman and Alice Storzer, Donald and Pearl Storzer, Austin Storzer, Arney Storzer and a brother-in-law Milton Christensen. Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home-Denmark, 536 Cty Road R, Denmark, on Monday, August 29, from 5-7pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church, 503 Grand Ave, Denmark, from 9:30am until 10:45am. Funeral Service at 11:00am Tuesday with Pastor Dan Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in East Danish Cemetery.
