Anne Marie (Schriver) Sickles

August 28, 1929 — April 13, 2015

Anne M. Sickles passed away April 13, 2015 from complications of rheumatoid arthritis. She went to be with the Lord she loved and her companion of 35 years, Louis Sherry, who passed away on April 27, 2006. She was born August 28, 1929 to the late George Schriver and Marion Bigford. In her younger years, Anne wore many hats: homemaker, tavern owner, hobby farm manager, owner of a champion bull mastiff, was president of the Green Bay Fishing Club, and a very active member of the Neville Public Museum Geology Club since 1982. Anne was an LPN, having worked for Bellin Hospital before working for Brown County Social Services for 18 years, retiring at age 60 to own concessions and runaway with the fair for 6 years. Anne’s rheumatoid arthritis caught up with her about 20 years ago and it made her daily living painful. Survivors include her children: Mike (Beverly) of Herndon, VA and Mike’s children: Brian of California, Jeff of Washington, DC, Katherine of Herndon, VA and Alexandra of Herndon, VA, Mike’s step-son Tony of New York; Linda (Bob) Brown and Bob’s daughter Christina and her daughter Samantha; grandson Dean M. (fiancé Rebecca) Hardwick of San Jose, CA; great-grandchildren: Sage and Chase Hardwick; a sister Lola Karas; nieces and nephew. Anne was preceded in death by a son, Dean G. Sickles; grandson David S. Hardwick; and a brother William Schriver. Family and friends may visit at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N. Webster Avenue, De Pere, on Friday, April 17, from 4-8pm, with a service to be held at 7:00pm. Burial at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Utrie for many years of compassionate care, as well as the staff at Manor Care East, Bellin Hospital and especially Unity Hospice for their care in her final days.
