Alvina L. Rosek, 90, town of Glenmore, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015. She was born March 27, 1925 in the town of Maple Grove in Shawano Co., daughter to the late Michael and Frances (Falkowski) Niespodzany. She married George Rosek June 2, 1945 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Hofa Park, and he preceded her in death on September 4, 2001. Alvina worked at Bellin Hospital until she was married, and then owned and operated a farm in the town Glenmore with her husband. Alvina enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, and shopping. She was a member of the Denmark FFA and enjoyed their annual picnics. Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law, Gary Rosek, Green Bay, Linda Rosek, Pulaski, Edward (Suzanne) Rosek, Green Bay; 9 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one sister, Ceil Engels, Green Bay; brother, Anthony ‘Tony’ (Betty) Niespodzany, De Pere; sister-in-law, Catherine Niespodzany; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Alvina was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Stanley and Alex. Family and friends may visit Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 3425 Willow Road, Green Bay, on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:30 a.m., with Fr. Dan Viertel officiating. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Pine Grove. Knutson-Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com.
