Alice E. Braun, 93, De Pere, passed away Sunday morning, July 22, 2012. She was born December 15, 1918 in Antigo, daughter of the late Jake and Olive (Strong) Healy. On January 12, 1942, Alice married John Anton Braun at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, Antigo. He passed away May 18, 1994. Alice worked over 35 years as a nurse in the newborn nursery unit at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Milwaukee. She was currently a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, De Pere. Alice loved music and greatly enjoyed her time singing with the Sweet Adelines. Surviving are her five children and spouses: Betty (Jim) Vandermissen of Wilson MI, Robert (Marjean) Braun, Beverly (Richard) Klingbeil, and William (Diane) Braun, all of Milwaukee, and Susan Braun (special friend Danny Helms) of Green Bay; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; a brother; and five sisters. Friends may call at the Chapel of St. Adalbert Mausoleum, 3801 S. 6th St., Milwaukee from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., Friday, July 27, 2012. The funeral service will be conducted in the mausoleum chapel on Friday at 12:00 p.m. followed by the entombment. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
