Alex D. Detennis

August 29, 1971 — November 28, 2021

Alex DeTennis, age 50, of De Pere, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, November 28, 2021, from an automobile accident. The son of Betty (Bressers) DeTennis and the late Paul DeTennis was born August 29, 1971. He graduated from East De Pere High School in 1990 and from UWGB in 1999 with a degree in Economics. He later received a master’s degree in Finance from Lakeland University in 2008.  He was an interactive tax assistant for the Internal Revenue Service in California for over three years. He then moved back to De Pere to be closer to his family.  He was presently employed by Humana as a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer. Alex served his country in the U.S. Army, mostly in Germany, as well as serving in the Air Force Reserve.

Alex was an avid bowler and bowled several 300 games. He was a very good golfer.  He recently won the First-Place trophy at the Annual DeTennis Family Golf Outing held at Wander Springs Golf Course.  He also enjoyed attending Packer games with his dad, brother Paulie and nephew Crosby. He loved visiting with family and friends at Paulie and Kim’s cottage in Crivitz. He was often the life of the party, enjoying any event that included wearing a costume, participating in golf outings, boat rides or winning at the meat raffle. He cherished family time more than anything.

He adored his nieces and nephew, Chloe (goddaughter), Ava, and Crosby.

Surviving Alex is his mother, Betty; sister: Trina DeTennis; brother: Paul (Kim) DeTennis; aunts and uncles: Suzanne Pahl, Julie and Bob Kidney (godparents), Gary Jadin, John Kautzer Sr.; many cousins and friends; as well as Kim’s sisters, Laurie and Amy Clark, who he considered his family.

Alex was preceded in death by his dad: Paul DeTennis Sr., and his niece Aubrey Rose.
