Agnes Van Rite

Agnes Theresa Van Rite, 82, Bellevue, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at a local hospital. She was born August 19, 1931 in New Franken, daughter to the late Peter and Mary (Schott) Tauschek. She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Green Bay, and married Alton Van Rite on May 9, 1953 at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church in New Franken, and he preceded her in death on April 17, 2011. Alton and Agnes ran the family farm together their entire life. Agnes loved her children and grandchildren and spending time with them. She also enjoyed gardening, caring for her fruit trees and shopping. Agnes always had something positive to say. She is survived by her four children: Barbara (Steven) Lautenslager, Susan (Michael) Tesar, David Van Rite, and Sharon (Joel) Faeth; grandchildren: Jeffrey and Timothy Lautenslager, Traci and Collin Tesar, and Nicole and Austin Faeth; two sisters, Anne Weisse and Eleanor Dufek; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Agnes was preceded in death by a brother, Leo (Virginia) Tauschek; sisters, Sister Rose Celine Tauschek and Sister Mary Peter Tauschek; and brothers-in-law, Roland Weisse and Wallace Dufek. Family and friends may call Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Drive, Ledgeview, with Fr.
