Mike Cotter Cotter Funeral Home

Mike Cotter is a life-time funeral director and second-generation president of Cotter Funeral Homes. Prior to joining the funeral home, Mike attended St. Norbert College in De Pere and the Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Illinois.
 
In addition to managing the day to day operations of the funeral homes, he maintains a long list of accomplishments and activities. He is an active member of St. Mary Catholic Community in De Pere, and has served on the board of directors for the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help in Champion.  Mike is a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3955 of De Pere, and is a member of the National Funeral Directors and Wisconsin Funeral Directors Associations. 
Mike was also past president of the De Pere Historical Society, the De Pere Optimist Club, and the Fox River Valley Funeral Director’s Association.  He was a charter member of Main Street De Pere, having served on the board of directors, as well as being instrumental in resurrecting the East De Pere Business Association, helping to facilitate many events and fundraising activities.  
He enjoys volunteering work, especially for the Salvation Army, the NEW Community Shelter, and is a volunteer coach of the J.V. boys basketball team at Notre Dame Academy in Green Bay. In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, JoAnn, three children: Matt, Eric and Alayna, and coaching various youth sporting ventures.

Matt is a licensed Funeral Director and has been serving families since May of 2008. In addition, he is a licensed life insurance agent and guides families through all facets of the pre-planning process.
 
Matt graduated with a bachelor of science in physiology degree in May of 2011 from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, and the Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 2012.  Matt is a third generation director and will serve as the third generation of family owners at Cotter Funeral Home.  He is a member of the National Funeral Director's Association and the Wisconsin Funeral Director's Association, as well as Resurrection Catholic Parish in Allouez and the Knights of Columbus Fr. Claude Allouez Council. He is passionate about serving families, and believes strongly in giving back to the families he serves through community service.  Matt and his wife Ashley were married in August of 2015 and reside in Allouez.

Mary Rueckl is an Advanced Funeral Planner and has been with Cotter Funeral Homes since 2003.  She is a lifelong area resident, and has resided in Ledgeview for the past 13 years with her husband and daughter.  Mary entered the funeral service field in January of 1986, and since then, has become an expert in all aspects of the funeral planning process. Mary and her family are members of St. Mary Catholic Community and stay regularly involved in the Church community.  She takes great pride in caring for families and the well-being of the community at large.

Tyler is a Licensed Apprentice Funeral Director and has been helping families since 2012.  He recently graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College with a Degree in Mortuary Science and also has an Associate’s Degree in Marketing from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.  Tyler was born and raised in Pulaski, Wisconsin where he was an active member in the Community.  He attended Assumption BVM Catholic Church and also volunteered his time coaching baseball and basketball at Pulaski High School.  He recently moved to the De Pere area and looks forward to serving, and volunteering his time to his community.  
In his free time, Tyler plays baseball for an amateur men’s baseball team and enjoys playing golf.  He also enjoys many sporting events, the outdoors, country music, and spending time with his family and friends.
