Obituary for Lawrence "Larry" Francken

Lawrence "Larry" Francken
Larry Francken, age 81 of DePere, passed away at his home surrounded by his family, Monday, May 15, 2017. He was born in Green Bay on July 3, 1935 to the late Anthony and Rose (Lancelle) Francken. In 1957, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, he proudly served his country for six years. On December 30, 1970, he married Mary Van Beek at St. Philip Catholic church. Larry worked for Kolb Floor Covering in De Pere as a Tile Setter for his whole career. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, going to Door County and making stone pots. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife Mary, children; Tony (Megan) Francken, John (Lisa) Francken and Patrick Francken. Larry is further survived by his brother, Ken (Sis) Francken; Mary’s family, Bill (Yvonne) Van Beek, Sue (Tom) Cravillion, Joe Van Beek, Chris (John) Sullivan, many nephews, nieces and the family dog, Ziva.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Judd.

Family and friends may visit at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsman Dr, Ledgeview, from 9:00am to 10:30am on Friday, May 19, 2017 with the Mass of Resurrection at 10:30am at the church with Rev. Binu Varghese, O Praem officiating. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at
