On May 28, 1952 he married Idabell E. Ambrosius at St. Boniface Catholic Church in De Pere. Together they farmed and raised their family. He enjoyed his farm papers and magazines. He always had a story to share. One of Mom and Dad’s favorite things to do was to ride their Kabota to look over the years crops and travel through the woods hoping to see some wildlife. John loved feeding and identifying the variety of birds that visited his numerous feeders. John appreciated the little things, was content and respectful for the life he lived. He loved spending time with his family and watching his grandkids and great-grandkids as they grew.
John was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ledgeview. He will always be remembered for carrying a rosary in his bib overall pocket and saying his prayers for various intentions.
